A: The zine is strictly SFW.

Q: What kind of pieces should I be submitting?
A: Your piece does not have to be related to BG3 or Rolan, but it would be preferred. You can also submit a link to a portfolio or an AO3.

Q: Is there a possibility this will become a charity zine?
A: As of now, our plan is to donate all extra proceeds from the zine to a charity that the contributors vote on.

Q: Who is moderating this zine?
A: Please refer to the bottom of this carrd to see a list of moderators.

Q: Will I have a chance to try again if not selected the first time, and will I get feedback as to why my piece wasn't selected?
A: Due to the amount of applications we received, we are unable to provide individual feedback. However, if you are not selected, you may be offered a "pinch hitter" position in the event that someone drops out.

Q: How many positions are we looking to fill?
A: As of now, we are looking to select 40 zine artists and 12 writers.

Q: Can I still help with the zine if I don't get in?
A: You can help us by promoting our Twitter account. If opportunities to help come up, we will post updates there as we go.

Q: Can I apply for multiple things (artist, writer, graphic design)?
A: Yes! Though please only apply once for each. We are no longer taking moderator applications.

Q: Is there a theme for this zine?
A: We are currently splitting the zine between two themes - "Family", and "Resilience". "Family" emphasizes Rolan's love for his siblings, while "Resilience" centers his story of survival throughout the events of the game. Please indicate which one you're interested in creating content for in your application - you can pick more than one.

Q: Is this zine physical, or online? Will there be merch? How much will it cost?
A: As of now, our plan is to offer both a digital and a physical zine for purchase. The digital zine will contain digital rewards, while the physical zine will have varying tiers of merch.

Q: Are you looking for artists, writers, graphic designers etc?
A: We are currently searching for the following: artists, fanfic writers, and graphic designers.

Q: How do I apply? How long is the application period?
A: The application period runs from 3/30/23 to 11:59pm CDT on April 13th. A more detailed timeline can be found on the pinned at @ThunderousZine on Twitter.

Q: When will we know if we've been selected?
A: Everyone that provided a submission to the form will be contacted VIA email and discord on a rolling basis between April 13th - April 20th.

Q: Will contributors be paid for this zine?
A: As of the time of writing, our zine is a charity zine, so there will be no compensation for moderators or contributors. The proceeds will go to a charity of the participants' choosing.

Q: Can I participate even if I don't have a twitter?
A: Yes, but we will be communicating through discord, so you must be comfortable providing a Discord account and keeping up with communications there.

Q: How can I keep up with the zine if I'm interested in purchasing it but not contributing?
A: Follow @ThunderousZine on Twitter or submit your interest to the form linked here. You will be updated regularly based on the status of the zine.

Q: Considering the controversy of zines lately, how can I trust that this project will come to fulfillment?
A: The people running this zine have not only a record of being in active creators in the community for months, but also have track records of over $1100+ raised to organizations such as Care for Gaza. If you're uncertain about anything, questions are always welcome.
